General Background
I am a recent graduate with a bachelor's of arts degree in advertising and public relations and a double minor in psychology and business in the liberal arts. I absolutely love exploring the world of public relations. I am currently looking for jobs around the country. I have had four internships and held many leadership positions at Penn State--all related to public relations in some shape or form. In fall 2009, I was a founding member of an on campus public relations firm, Happy Valley Communications. In addition, I began working on a campaign for the 2010 Census, which is in full swing during February 2010.
Originally, I am from Fairfax Station, Va. where I
attended W.T.
Woodson High
School. During high school, I
discovered public relations through my marketing courses and DECA, an association of marketing students.
Specifically, I developed an international business plan for a start up
company and entered the plan in the international DECA
competitions in May 2006, where I placed in the top 20 percent of the international business plan
category.
In
my free time, I enjoy traveling, scrapbooking and dancing--basically expressing my creative and adventurous side. I have
high expectations and plenty of motivation and dedication to share. I am willing to
work hard and put my mind to anything in order to achieve my goals.
